Londoners love to moan about the state of this city’s nightlife. Sure, the capital doesn’t exactly offer wall-to-wall entertainment 24 hours a day (and half of Londoners apparently go to bed early because of it) but we often forget the good bits: namely that London still boasts plenty of top-tier clubbing venues.
London has some damn good clubs – there’s a reason our ‘best nightclubs’ list stretches to nearly 40 – and now several of those clubs have been recognised as among the best in the world.
That’s according to the International Nightlife Association (INA), which was founded in 2012 and says it’s the ‘world's first non-profit organisation founded specifically to represent entities involved in the nightlife sector’. The INA just published its 2024 edition of the World’s 100 Best Nightclubs, and no less than four London clubs made the cut.
No London club made the top 10, but placing highest in the top 100 was Fabric in 26th. Any London nightlife lover will know and adore the Farringdon club, which occupies a former meatpacking warehouse and this year celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Fabric is closely followed in INA’s list by Ministry of Sound in 28th, followed by Studio 338 in 48th. Drumsheds closes out London’s contributions to the top 100 at number 80. You can find the International Nightlife Association’s full list here.
If you’re getting a sense a déjà vu from these clubs featuring in a global ranking, that’s because all four of them placed in a similar ‘best clubs’ list by DJ Mag back in April.
