It’s been another busy month of restaurant hopping for Michelin’s inspectors. Anonymous diners spend their days trying new, existing and improved food spots up and down the country to decide whether they’re worthy of a place in the coveted Michelin Guide.
Once a restaurant is in the guide, then it’s in the running for a Michelin star (you can find out which London restaurants most recently received a star here). In July, 12 restaurants across the UK and Ireland earned a spot in the guide – and four of them are in the capital.
The capital’s four newest Michelin Guide members all represent different cuisines: Japanese, Greek, Indian and British. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

London restaurants added to the Michelin Guide in July 2026
Aki, Marylebone
Aki launched in a glamorous Grade II-listed former bank on Cavendish Square back in October. Like its original branch in Malta, it serves up modern farm-to-table Japanese dishes such as caramelised black cod, wagyu gyoza and, of course, a selection of sashimi, nigiri and maki. Downstairs in the old vaults is Kiyori, the lively bar mixing Japanese-inspired cocktails, from rum with yuzu, lime juice and yuzu foam to vodka with green tea vermouth and absinthe on a matcha-infused ball of ice.

Clio, Marylebone
Modern Greek spot Clio made it onto the guide just over one month after opening. You’ll find it on the ground floor of the very luxurious Chiltern Place apartments, offering a splendid menu of grilled fish, seasonal veg and more. Think whole blue lobster with tomato orzo and oregano, roast wild sea bass fillet, Florina pepper, fennel salad and suckling pig with salsa. Michelin praised it for its fresh flavours, concise wine list and staff who are ‘as warm and friendly as they are attentive’.

Koyal, Surbiton
This one’s worth travelling to the fringes of London for. Koyal sits on Brighton Road in Surbiton and is led by chef Nand Kishor Semwal, who has previously headed up the kitchens at Michelin star joints Trishna and Gymkhana. Here, he draws on his Himalayan roots and has created a menu of street food classics such as pani puri and koliwada fish alongside hearty mains like gosht saagwala and wild boar vindaloo. It’s great value, too. At lunchtime you can dine on Koyal’s two-course set menu for just £20 per person.

Willett’s, Chelsea
The brand-new restaurant and bar at Chelsea’s Cadogan hotel, Willett’s is named after the man who campaigned for British Summer Time and, Michelin says, it ‘flies the flag for British ingredients, recipes and even wine’. Expect comforting mains like lamb faggot, beef wellington and posh fish and chips, and nostalgic desserts such as jam roly-poly, sticky toffee pudding and custard tarts. Plus, there’s a whole section of the menu dedicated to sourdough crumpets – you can have them topped with marmite butter, duck liver parfait and cherry jam, Dorset crab or mushroom and truffle.
